Okay, so I know I haven’t been here much and I keep thinking thing will change and I will manage to get here more. Life seems to take precedence or should I say the things that we are trying to do to the town home. We’ve painted our bedroom and I’m doing a dry rub-on transfer at the top, next to the ceiling. It’s turning out to be tedious and tiresome process. A much bigger challenge than I had originally anticipated. I’m a bit over half done and am crossing my fingers I will get as much done tomorrow night as I did tonight. The hard part is I am stretching over my head and the fact I have little upper body strength. (note to self: lift more weights, get in shape) Mike has been helping me tonight and that’s how I managed to get so far.

I wouldn’t be in such a rush to finish it but I bought a new bedroom set and it will be delivered this Saturday. I’m extremely anxious. I had bought a new comforter, matching pillows and a valance awhile ago. I have always wanted to have the complete set, but “someone” (we won’t mention any names) wouldn’t ever let me spend what I wanted and get exactly what I wanted. So, I’m extremely happy because I was able to buy what I wanted with no one saying anything. The only condition Mike had was that it wasn’t pink. Well, per say it’s not pink or at least what I envision when I hear the word pink. It has a tone of pink in but a very rich color, it’s more of a mauve color with quite a few shades of beige.

The other thing that I am excited about is that I splurged on Egyptian cotton sheets with embroidered lace on them. I got new lamps, that match again, because “someone” wouldn’t let me get what I wanted. The lamps are absolutely gorgeous, they have fringe on them, they are a shade of beige and then have roses on them. Also this past weekend, Mike and I went to visit his parents in Rochester, and I bought a few things. More excitement. All in all I am having fun decorating the master bedroom and making it romantic and beautiful.
